 * Please Help – I want to add a colored frame around images and text along the
bottom included in the frame. Example: [http://www.artbizblog.com/2011/04/live-art-marketing-events.html](http://www.artbizblog.com/2011/04/live-art-marketing-events.html)
You can see in the example how the colored frame includes an area for text.

There is an option in my Design Options under Post Images and Thumbnails, Default
Post Image Settings that offers a check box for adding frame to post images,
but I have tried it either way to no avail, and would really prefer the colored
option of ghost frame option that allows the text within the framed area. ANY
HELP IS SO APPRECIATED! 🙂 Blog still getting set up: [http://www.paintersjourneyblog.com](http://www.paintersjourneyblog.com)

 * your example link is using the captions, the text that you can type in when you
embed an image into the post (or when you edit the image in a post).
 * you might need to add corresponding styles to get the colored borders (and might
not work with your shadows ..)

 * Alchymyth, thank you for replying. I am trying to turn my shadows off for the
post I am working on, but can’t figure out how to do that. When I first added
a the 5 images to this draft page: [http://www.paintersjourneyblog.com/?page_id=96&preview=true](http://www.paintersjourneyblog.com/?page_id=96&preview=true)
there were no shadows, then I added the word “frame” to the code area of an image,
which did put a frame around them. The issue now is why only 1 out of the 5 has
a nice small frame with no shadow and the others look as they do. I want them
all the have that same small frame and then I will try your suggestion to add
   text.
Thank you again and any other advise to so appreciated,a s well as understanding
that I am new to WordPress (Thesis) and HTML Code.

 * Also, how/where do I type in text “using the captions”?

 * probably best with a screenshot [http://img854.imageshack.us/i/caption.jpg/](http://img854.imageshack.us/i/caption.jpg/)
 * when you add a new image to a post, or edit the image in a post, you get this
   kind of popup.
what you enter into the ‘caption’ field, will be shown below
the image; and if the styles for wp-caption are in style.css of your theme, it
will be in a border/frame together with the image.

 * alchymyth, my style.css pages tells me: WARNING: DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE and to
edit in my custom.css. Do you know a code I can type into my custom.css page
to have a border added to all my images, without the shadow? I have tried turning
that shadow off, have tried in my design page to turn frame images on”, then
tried it off, no change to that shadow. And I can not figure out why one image
   at this link: [http://www.paintersjourneyblog.com/?page_id=96](http://www.paintersjourneyblog.com/?page_id=96)
has a nice small frame (what I want) on it and the rest have a larger frame?
Although I would like the addition of the little text you can type in the bottom
of the frame. This link example is exactly what I would like in an image frame,
it shows the little text included in frame area: [http://www.artbizblog.com/2011/03/art-has-value.html](http://www.artbizblog.com/2011/03/art-has-value.html).
 * Just trying to figure out the code and where to paste it to accomplish this feature/
   look.
