  • I want to be able to embed a YouTube video in to a post, but every time I attempt to copy and paste the html code in on the CODE tab when writing a post, it won’t save it.

How do I see/edit/write pure html mark up in a post?

  • Disable completely the wysiwyg monster.
+ search around – it has been asked many times and there are many good advices.

I need the wysiwyg editor (it’s a client updating it, not me). I just need to be able to insert code as well. I did a search and couldn’t find an answer that fitted my needs. I’ll try again, but if someone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

For the record (and anyone searching), I ended up installing the plug-in found at http://bassistance.de/2006/04/12/wordpress-youtube-plugin/ for YouTube and it works really well.

Turning off the visual editor really wasn’t an option for me, and even when I did, the code didn’t embed properly anyway.
