Adding Horizontal Rows to Tables

Hello,

I am using a plug-in that allows me to create very basic tables in WordPress. However, it does not give an option to create borders between different cells or rows. I have tried using the basic <hr> in the HTML code within the tables, but have had no luck.

If anyone else has an idea or information that could be of assistance, it would be much appreciated.
