Adding Home navigation using Menus

Hi. I’m trying to add “Home” to my blog’s top navigation using Menus:

First, I tried using the “Custom Links” aspect of Menus and it added “Home” to the navigation on my homepage but not my “About” and “Contact” pages.

Then I attempted to add code in this forum thread by Rev. Voodoo, but I’m not sure if I’ve done it correctly and I’m getting Home on one page but not another. (I removed the code for the moment.)
