  • Hi, I am a very Newbie and would love to add Google Analytics to my WP blog.

I have got as far as learning to go to OPTIONS but after that cannot see where I would enter the code from Google. Can anyone please help. I probably can’t see tree for the wood or whatever.

    Many thanks!

Go to “Presentation -> Theme Editor” and paste the 2 lines including the js in your theme’s footer.php, just above the </body> tag.

Thank you so much for replying to my query. However, I know this is frustrating but I went to “Presentation -> Theme but all that happens there is that I get to choose the theme for my page. Nowhere can I see how to paste in the two lines.

Sorry to make this such hard work!

    Thanks anyway for your efforts:)

When you click on presentation, it defaults to “Themes” — look in the dark blue bar… there are two other selections… find the “Theme Editor” selection. Then look on the right side for “Footer.” Select “Footer” and in the FOOTER, paste the code right before </body>.
