# Adding Google Analytics?

 * I am very new to WordPress AND Google Analytics. I am trying to add their tracking
   code to my blog. I have read in other posts this code needs to go in the header.
   php (or some people say footer.php) of my theme. I have tried several times to
   paste this code, however it won’t save. There is a message below the code saying…’
   You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the
   Codex for more information.’ When I click on the link, it is too technical for
   me. I have no clue what they are talking about or where to find these Permission
   Codes. Does anyone have any help? Thanks!

 * I’d recommend using the plugin named “Google Analyticator”. It makes it easy 
   to insert your Google Analytics code without having to worry about editing files.
   Just do a search for plugins in your WordPress Dashboard, install it, activate
   it, and follow the instructions it gives.

 * Thanks JPry. I tried that too and it still doesn’t work. I think I’ll uninstall
   the plugin and try it again. Thanks for responding.
