Support » Fixing WordPress » Adding First and Second Front Page Widget Area

I am using Twenty Twelve on and although I have the custom menu widgets loaded in both, neither show up on the front page, or any other page. I crashed today and it was working but now I can’t get it to work. Also, I want the background in the footer area to be background color #960014 (dark red) to match my background color of the page. Can you give any help?

  • Got it fixed.

I am new to wordpress and confronting with the same problem – not sure how to make widgets on front page visible on twenty twelve theme. Can you please tell me how you did it?

truthfully Mehmet and Charlie fixed it for me. I didn’t understand how the front page was laid out. But when they explained it it was easy. I struggled for a few weeks but after they explained it, it was easy. Get them to explain it to you and once you get that down, you will fly on this theme. It’s a great theme. I have tried 3 other themes but getting this one is the bomb. I went from being an ok site to top of the line professional look. Don’t give up but just work with these guys. Of course, don’t take my time up with them. lol They are so helpful and now I am so happy with my site and it’s because these guy’s support is so fantastic.

Thanks! But who are these guys and how do I contact them?

If you go to and just hit their support forum you can get connected. They are available all day but you just have to post your questions. Very responsive and quick.

Well, I see that I need to pay a tax so I can have access to the forum. Plus, I don’t see the twenty twelve theme in their portfolio. Thanks for your help, but I will try to find help somewhere else.

They do use the twenty twelve forum. I think I paid $58 for the theme and that gets you access for one year to the premium support. check my site at and you can see how great a job they did for me.

Yes, but I am a wordpress beginner and I am trying to find some free solutions at first. I am trying to put up a blog for fun, not for profit. Thanks anyway for the tip, I’ll keep that in mind.

try arlima which is a great news theme which gives you a newspaper like pub without any cost. I been doing this since Oct 2012 and have tried several different formats. The arlima was nice. So was twenty plus pro which was free and the support was great. There are some great themes with support out there. Twenty plus pro is like child theme which feeds off of twenty twelve. I really liked that one. Just wanted a more professional newspaper look is why I went to gabfires.
