I am using CF7 extensively on a medical tourism website in which the “conversion”, or the “call-for-action” is to fill a CF7 form.
I’m about to launch PPC and media campaigns and I would like to track the origins from which users come. For this purpose, I need to parse the landing URL (e.g. http://www.mysite.com/category/post_title?ref=GOOGLE456) and put the “ref” param value inside the CF7 field. So, if someone used the above example URL, the CF7 will send a mail with “GOOGLE456” string in it.
I will ask my developers to take care of the URL parsing and cookie storage. But I was wondering what is the best way to implement the extra development into the CF7 code.
