Adding Featured Image – Gutenberg Editor WP 5.01

    Hello,
    Is there a way to add NextGen Featured image to post in the new Gutenberg Editor in WP 5.01? The option was present in WP 4.X.X and lower but now it seems to be missing. Thank you.

    Hi @lukemike,

    We are very sorry but it looks like the hooks that we have previously used for the singlepic and featured images aren’t apliable anymore using Gutenberg Editor.

    Our developers are looking for a solution of this problem and we will re-add it in one of the future releases.

    Thank you for the answer Mihai,
    That would save us some time, because we were still looking for it 🙂 hoping to find it somewhere. Now we know it’s not there.

    We are awaiting the future releases. If it’s not a problem, would you mind posting in this thread once the feature has been added to Gutenberg? Thank you.

    Hi @lukemike,

    Could you please try to install the latest version of NextGen Gallery ( 3.1.6 ) and try again to set a post featured image from NextGen to see how it goes. I’ve tested it on my own testing installation and it worked just fine for me.

    Running NextGen 3.1.6 [Plus] with WP 5.1 and the Gutenberg editor. Having the same problem, there appears to be no way to set the ‘featured image’ to one in NextGen, only upload a new one or choose from WP internal media gallery.
