Support » Fixing WordPress » Adding external database information

  • Hi,

    Could you give me a little help with this problem I have.

    I need to try and show 3 boxs on each portfolio item but the data shown in these boxs comes from a different database to that of wordpress. So, each portfolio item will need to have off set results.

    Using the repeat region that I used in the past is not giving the right results as it mess’s up the formating of the page as it repeats in the wrong place.

    I have sent you over the page I’m using at the moment and here is a link with the repeat disabled so you can see how it should be displayed.

    Any ideas how I could get that to work?

    Here is the code that displays the data:

    <?php if ($totalRows_rs1_events > 0) { // Show if recordset not empty ?>
    <?php do { ?>
    <div class="bot_banner" style="color:#F60;font-weight:bold;width:100px;"><?php if ($row_rs1_events['show_regs']=="y") echo $row_rs1_events['regs']; ?></div>
    <div class="bot_banner" style="color:#0C0;font-weight:bold;width:100px;"><?php if ($row_rs1_events['show_results']=="y") echo $row_rs1_events['results']; ?></div>
    <div class="bot_banner" style="color:#39F;font-weight:bold;width:100px;"><?php if ($row_rs1_events['show_p_riderlist']=="y") echo $row_rs1_events['p_riderlist']; ?></div>
    <?php } while ($row_rs1_events = mysql_fetch_assoc($rs1_events)); ?>
    <?php } // Show if recordset not empty ?>
