  • Resolved Mr E

I have a website with WordPress Download Monitor and I am trying to make it deliver an actual .torrent file.

I have tried both the plugin solution PJW Mime Config and I have done the manual editing – understanding that in both cases I’m only uploading. This function worked fine however when the file is clicked on the website it is not but

SO my question is, having made it so that WP takes my files – how can I also get it to deliver them.

PS – this is not for a lame torrent site, its part of a space simulator program which is supported by many space centers and has notable mentions from Nasa, I’m one of the authorized file distributors.

The website url is if anyone wants to see what is going on.

The files DO work in IE although they report as a zip, they defaulted to Bit Torrent.

However Opera and FF report the file as a zip AND treat it as such.

Contact your hosts. They may have to change the server configuration to correctly deliver .torrent files.

    Worked like a charm.

I added the information to an .htaccess file and the host appended the changes.

    Thanks again esmi
