You can not have a single photo in two albums, but you can have a photo copied into another album. This can be done only by the owner of the original photo ( or admin ).
So, i can copy my photo to an album where i have upload access to, but i can not copy a photo from an album where i do not have album admin access to.
The user can right click on the photo, save it on their local pc and upload it to his own album.
Is there any way I can change this?
I want my users to be able to create an album based off of photos that I have up[loaded to my site. They browser around, and then when they find one they like, they can click an “add to album” button and chose which one to add it too. The images that are on my site are not uploaded into any album, they are just uploaded using the “Media” tab. So I would need code to check and see if it was added into an album yet, and if not then it would have to upload it to a dummy album and then copy it into the users album.
Seems like a lot to me, would it be hard to change the code to do this? There are a lot of files in this plugin so I’m not sure where I need to edit at
Adding this feature is not so simple a s it looks.
What you can do is import the wp media images yourself at the backend into one or more wppa albums.
See the Photo Albums -> Import Photos screen: select a folder that cantains photos in the Import photos from selection box
