# Adding existing database

 * Hi – I have been given a disc by a client with an existing WP site and a database(.
   sql) – I created a temporary domain on my server with the relevant database. 
   I uploaded the WP content. I then went to phpMyadmin and tried to import the 
   database. I got an error message ‘SQL query – drop table if exists’ – Is there
   something I need to do to the existing database before I try to import it? Also,
   once imported would I need user name and password to see the site? Please can
   someone help?
