# Adding excerpt to slider

 * Is it possible to add the custom excerpt to the slider. If so what is the shortcode.

 * Yes, you can add your custom excerpt to post slider.
 * Plugin display the data from the post content. If you have added the “Post Excerpt”
   then it will display it first.
 * Please refer below screenshot [https://prnt.sc/tqniub](https://prnt.sc/tqniub)
 * Please add your desired short (Excerpt) content to post and it will display it

 * I tried using the shortcode [psac_post_slider limit=”5″], but it does not display
   any excerpt even though the post has an excerpt as shown in the above screenshot.
   Is there anything I should add to the shortcode?

 * Hi its ok, I found out that if I use show content as true then it displays the
   custom excerpt. Thank you
