Adding custom fields and date features for gig posts

    Hey all

    I want to add several custom fields to my posts for bands to update their gigs = date/venue/cost/time/etc.

    I want it so they don’t have to type date/venue/cost/time/etc each time and just fill in a field with the details.

    I also want to have a feature similar to the myspace gig feature which sorts all gigs by the date custom field and hides/deletes any gigs past the current date.

    I have tried the various event plugins and stuff but they don’t seem to provide the right solution.

    Any help would be awesome.

    Ok I’ve tried a few plugins but none of them seem to offer me the options I need.

    I tried some custom fields plugin but I had to add each custom field to each post instead of it appearing automatically each time i need to write a post.

    I also tried some events plugins but don’t know how to add extra fields and therefore am stuck with only the default date/time/description they offer. I want to be able to add fields such as date/cost/venue etc.

    I had to do this same thing for an events page on my site, and I gave up eventually. You’d think there would be a plugin to do the job though…
