Adding continuous posts.

    New to WP. After setting up a site, I’m trying to add content. My first content posted okay but when trying to add a second post, it adds as a new page rather than a post above the older post.
    I don’t see a setting to change this or I just don’t know what exactly to look for to change it. Would anyone know how to change this?

    what is the number under
    dashboard – setting – reading – blog pages show at most [ ] posts ?

    what theme are you using?

    Settings text says:
    Front page displays – 10
    Static page chosen

    Blog pages show at most – 10

    Syndication feeds show at most – 10

    each article in a feed – full text

    Theme name: pacify
