    Hello,

I’m trying to add a ‘Back to Course’ button at the end of an exam. The exam is the final stage of a course we’re running. There’s a Back to Subject, Back to Lesson and Back to Course button at all other stages, but I can’t work out how to add it to the Exam.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Barney

  • WordPress doesn’t have any course, examination, or e-learning features built-in.

What e-learning plugin (or theme) are you using to run your courses?

    Hi George,

    Thank you for your reply.

My WordPress knowledge is very limited – it’s been set up by someone else, but I’ve been tasked with making it look more professional. I think we’re using Elementor?

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Sam

You may be using Elementor, but that’s not what’s handling the courses.

From your Dashboard, go to TOOLS => SITE HEALTH, then click the INFO tab. Click the button you see to copy your site info — ie details of your WordPress installation, without any passwords or anything sensitive — and paste it here so I can better understand what your site is running and advise you accordingly.

This info does not contain passwords or anything sensitive, but it’s still a good idea to glance over it and redact anything you don’t want to share publicly.

Below is an example from one of my test sites:

    .

    Standing by.

    Hello Barney,

It’s great that you are trying to add a ‘Back to Course’ button at the end of your exam. Depending on how your course is structured and the platform you are using, there are several ways you could achieve this.

One solution could be to create a custom button or link that redirects the user to the course overview page. This could be added to the end of the exam as a separate element, or incorporated into the exam completion screen.

If you are using a learning management system (LMS), such as Moodle or Canvas, you may be able to use the built-in navigation or menu options to add a ‘Back to Course’ link at the end of the exam.

Another option could be to modify the exam settings to include a redirect URL or custom completion message that includes a ‘Back to Course’ link or button like betting pro

If you are still having trouble, I recommend checking the documentation or support forums for your platform or LMS to see if there are any specific instructions or plugins available for adding custom buttons or links.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your course!
