adding and deleting attachments programmatically

Good morning,

thanks first of all for this wonderful plugin. I couldn’t find any reference in the plugin doc how to add and delete attachments programmatically. Is this plugin meant to support this? Of course i could start looking into the plugin source how to do it yet as usual I want to avoid having to double check my code with each update of the plugin so I hope there is an officially way to do it supported by the plugin (and by that kind of stable 😉 )
