    2. You could use Insert Headers And Footers plugin to insert code in header/footer without a child theme.

    Thanks, Faisal. I may use the plugin — that certainly would make things a bit simpler.

    Where is header.php in WordPress 6.1? I would expect it in wp-content/themes/twenty twenty-three/ but there isn’t anything in there. A “parts” folder has a header.html, but it only has arcane calls to other functions and nowhere I can drop in the RSS link.

    I don’t have much experience with the WP Block theme. But if you use the plugin, you won’t have to insert the code in the header.php / header.html file manually.
