# Adding additional Menu

 * I’d like to add additional menus to the top of specific pages. Does anyone know
   what that code might look like?

 * First you’ll need to create a child theme, so your tweaks won’t be overwritten
   when updating the theme. Here are some guides in case you haven’t made one before:

 * Adding new menus to a theme isn’t a simple change. Have a look at this tutorial
   to get started in the right direction:

 * Be wary of any tutorial that tells you to change the theme files directly without
   making a chlid theme. If you do that, you’ll lose your changes every time you
   update the theme.
 * A simpler way to add additional menus to a theme is to use the Custom Menu widget
   and add a menu to any of the theme’s widget areas. Using the [Widget Visiblity](http://jetpack.me/support/widget-visibility/)
   feature in Jetack, you can easily control on which page(s) the menu is displayed.
