Adding a URL to an image in the media library permanently

  • Hi,

I am new to wordpress and have a blog that I want to add images to on different posts using the “simple Image Link” plugin but want the pictures to link to a url when clicked on. For instance, I want a car picture to link to chevy.com. Is there a way to attach the chevy.com URL to that picture in the library so that whenever I add it to a post it will link to the chevy.com website? Right now I am having to add the links to the urls for many different images everytime I add them and it is getting a bit tedious.

Is there any way to do this? FYI, the images are being placed in the posts using the “simple image link” plugin and I would like to just add them using a simple image widget, again so I don’t have to link each image individually every time I use them. I hope I have explained it clearly.

    Joe
