• Hi everyone! I’m kind of a newbie to the whole WordPress thing, so I could use some help! A friend of mine built and designed a wordpress website for me. However, there are a couple of things I want to add, but have little knowledge with WordPress layouts and PHP coding 🙁 Here’s one of them:

My website is http://www.thelieesaboutmuhamamd.com. If you click the link, you’ll notice that there’s a blog with articles immediately in front of you on the first page. If you go to this website , you’ll find that it’s blog with articles written in arabic – pretty much like the articles I have on my website. However, if you scroll to the end of each article, you’ll notice that there’s a clickable “share” button that will allow you to share the article with other websites, like twitter, reddit, and facebook.

So the question now is..how can I create this share link and put it underneath my blog articles, so that if readers would like to share it, they could just click on this link and choose whoever they want to share it with?

I have fairly strong knowledge in HTML coding, if that helps any.

Please and thank you in advance!

  • Hey! Welcome!

That’s the beauty of WordPress, you don’t need to know any PHP junk! Or even much html for that matter.

A nifty little plugin is all you need! You can search, install and activate plugins directly from your Plugins Panel. Make sure you hit ‘details’ and read up about them before installing. First, you better read up all about Managing Plugins.

I’ve tried these 3 plugins below. They are all very cool, and very popular.
    AddToAny: Share/Bookmark/Email Button
    Share and Follow
    SexyBookmarks

Each plugin will have it’s own settings, where you can customize anything. Eg. Which buttons, Size etc

Actually, I would run it past your friend first if possible. Your user account might not be able to install plugins and stuff. Maybe they can can show you the awesomeness of plugins too.

OMG thank you so much! I never thought it would be that easy. 😀 Share and follow is just the plug-in that I need!
