I currently have 1 site up and running, I want to make a second site unrelated to the first, different domain and host.
How do I start with WordPress? Do I need a second installation, create a new account or something?

Sorry if this is basic stuff but I couldn’t find anything about this.

    Thanks

    Hi @dougdeg.,

If it is different domain and host, You can install WordPress using installation tool or manually.

I think its very simple, You have any doubt to install WordPress on your new host?

If your host support add-on domain, you don’t buy additional host just get your domain and add it to your host.

Yes, it does support add-on. Maybe you can help, I have a .com site but I am making a .jp site as I live in Japan and I was going to have it hosted in Japan Does it matter where the site is hosted if it uses .jp?

I have this same question. At one point I was able to hit the WordPress icon at the top left and it gave me the option of toggling between sites (long ago I started a .com site that was never used, now my blog is a .org site and I want a 2nd .org site). I’m most frustrated because I can’t figure out how to add a 2nd .org site and when I repeat the steps I did less than 30 min ago, I can’t find the old .com site anymore. ?????
