Adding a Public/Membership navigation

Hello,

I am creating a website where there is a public version of a website that is basic explains the website. And then a person can login or create an account to access a members only section with its own pages.

I would like to have it where a guest user can browse the public side of the website and if they are intrigued, sign up and become a member to access our match making services by being a member.

I am having troubles separating the two versions. I am using finesslife as my theme and I am using UserPro for my membership feature. When I create the two navigation tabs they are good, but once a member logs in and logs out, they are stuck seeing the internal tabs but they wont be reverted back to the public side of the sight.

What can I do to fix that issue?
