• When I add a plugin (Special Recent Posts Pro) to my right sidebar it moves all plugins beneath it from the sidebar and displaces them to the bottom of the main page.

I have seen this occur with another plugin too.

OfflicecneForSale.com is my site. Currently an adsense ad is displaced to bottom of main page although the order of my sidebar objects is currently wrong as a result of this problem.

Can anyone advise help me sort this?

    Best,

    Michael

  • Is this your site? http://offlicenceforsale.com/ The URL you showed is wrong.

I didn’t see any problems in the sidebar.

    Hi Coding Pet,

Thanks for looking, it is my site, I did a typo oops 😉

I had to move the widgets around as they were showing wrong. I have now put a widget (Adsense) below the offending widget so you can see- as you will see it appears at the bottom of the page instead of the sidebar, as with all widgets that are not placed above the last widget showing on the sidebar (which shows posts). I can’t put anything beneath it as they all do this. I have paid for the widget showing the posts and there isn’t another one I can find which displays posts with a thumbnail (trust me, I have spent months looking, on and off) so it is causing a real headache.

Any thoughts on why the widgets are being displaced would be appreciated. PS I am competent at following instructions to input code but not a programmer.

have you contacted both the seller of your commercial theme and of your ‘pro’ plugin for support?

it seems that the plugin, or the way the plugin is inserted into your sidebar, outputs one extraneous </div>.

    Hi Mike,

It seems there is an extra </div> in the widget(Special Recent Posts Pro??) caused the problem. Does the widget work with the default twentyeleven theme?
