• Does anyone know how to add a page with a .html ending? Every time i add a page and try and make the ending .html as the permalink, wordpress automatically changes the . to a –

  • You want to make a page name/title with a .html ending and have it preserved in the permalink? You can’t. WordPress strips most characters from those titles when it makes the permalink. Going from memory and without looking it up I’d say everything that isn’t a number or a letter is converted to a dash.

    That ending has meaning to the server. It isn’t just decoration. You could easily break stuff by doing something like that. My take is that if you really want to have a .html ending on your page/post permalinks you would need to do it at the server level, with a .htaccess rule. That way the server knows what is happening.

    No, its just for one page, not all pages on my site. Will try it at the server level, thanks.

    You can’t just make an actual .html page?
