[Resolved] Adding a new theme complains about ZIP archive

Adding a new theme complains about ZIP archive. My theme is packed as a ZIP archive on a clean Windows installation. I only get an error, and not a confirmation.

I’m archiving it using normal settings (not best) and I test it before uploading.

  • You have to unzip it before you install it.

My mistake. I should’ve mentioned I want to add a new theme to the WordPress repository.

Exactly what error are you getting?

“Only zip files are supported. We’ve had reports that Firefox will sometimes report zip files as generic binary files (which we don’t allow). Try uploading your zip file with Safari or Opera.”

I’ve tried with Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

Have you tried using another machine to carry out the upload?

Mmm no. I’m at home with only my notebook. I’ll probably try tomorrow and come back to this thread. I thought I was missing something.

Got it working using Internet Explorer 9.

    This has been resolved.
