  • Go to Appearance > Menus, select menu you want to add calendar to.

Then look to the left of the menu structure, under Pages there will be another item named “Events, expand it – and in that tab, choose the middle item “View All” (because by default it shows “Most Recent” and it is probably a bunch of actual recent events). So, after you switch to “View All” , tag the “Events” checkbox and click “Add to menu”, and then drag to the place you want it to be on the menu. Lastly don’t forget to save the menu. 🙂

And if for any reason it fails, alternative option would be to add it as a link (treat it as any other external links you would put on the menu, just don’t open in the new window).

Many thanks, ddadian! Unfortunately, the page created by Events Calendar is not listed (even after I reset Permalinks). I suppose I will have to take your second bit of advice.

    Howdy John,

That second bit of advice is what you should run with. WP does not list Custom Posty Type Archive pages in it’s Menu Links, so the only way is to add a regular link to /events/. You might find our New User Primer of great help, it lists this step along with a few other common things folks want to do. Check out our knoweldgebase for that guide and many others: Knowledgebase

    Cheers!

Thanks, Brook. I must have shown initiative because I basically did as you suggested. Plus, having the calender at the top of the right-hand sidebar makes it view-able by anyone visiting the site.

Glad it’s all worked out 🙂
