adding a link to static page help

  • okay i assume from doing a little searching i edit my header.php file for my theme if i want to add a link to a static page – for instance a forum. However i can’t see where or what code i would use to do this?

    <div id="header">
    <div class="site-title"><h1>" title="<?php bloginfo('name'); ?> <?php _e('home page'); ?>"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></h1></div>
    <div class="topmenu">

          <?php wp_list_pages('depth=1&title_li='); ?>

    </div>
    </div>

  • Don’t know why you couldn’t put that link in the Page Content .

    But I’m guessing you really want the navigation to say something like Forum then when you click on that it takes you to your forum URL. If that is the case grap the Redirectify plugin, create the Page called Forum, save that page. Then edit that page and add a Custom Field wit a Key of ‘redirect’ and a Value of the url of your forum software.
