# Adding a "Header" Widget Area

 * I am trying to add a header widget area to our customizr child theme. If anyone
   can walk me through step by step on how to do this that would be great. Thank
   you!

 * When I went to the function.php file in our child theme it was blank and I added
   the code from the first link above. when I did this the code then appeared at
   the top of my page with no way to edit it in the widget area. Not sure what I
   need to do to fix this.
