# Adding a header section to a header-less theme?

 * Hey there.
 * I really like my theme after a lot of messing around with hundreds of ’em. Only
   problem is that it does not have a header section at all. Is it possible to add
   one with a plugin or some code changes?

 * You’d have to create a header.php with what you want in it and then call it from
   the index.php file with get_header();
 * Take a look at the default theme files to see how its done.

 * I am using the theme Carton Pro that I bought from [http://www.bavotasan.com](http://www.bavotasan.com).
   
   The dude there is not very helpful and he just said that if I am looking for 
   a theme with a header I should get one that comes like that.
 * By “header” I mean like the top section of this website:
    [http://www.themeditationblog.com/](http://www.themeditationblog.com/)
   where it says research, articles and so on.
 * My website is [http://www.guitarhippies.com](http://www.guitarhippies.com) and
   as you can see there is no header to my current theme at all, however, THERE 
   IS a header.php file that I can access through the appearance > editor.
