    I am looking at adding a font-resizer to your template, when the breadcrumbs are are shown (breadcrumb on left , font resizer to the right on the same row.) I do not want to add a widget or place it on a page. I am willing to modify the functions.php code and then call it from the header.php (if this is possible to do in the child theme please let me know I would prefer to do it there). I have found code for creating a widget or plugin that uses jQuery but there does not seem to be straight php code to do this. Is it best to do something like this in php or is jQuery better?

    Ok I figured this one out too. Download the following plugin:

    Then modify the end of the breadcrumbs section of the functions.php file (in the parent Duena theme folder) by adding the following code:

       /* START CHANGES                      */
        /* Font-resizer right justified 	*/
        if (function_exists ('fontResizer_place')) {
    	echo '<span class="right_resizer">';
           fontResizer_place ();
    	echo '</span>';
        /* END CHANGES */
        echo '</ul>';
    } // end breadcrumbs()

    Also you need to add the following to your child style.css file:

    /* Added font resizer
    ----------------------------------------------- */
    .right_resizer .fontResizer {
      float: right;
      padding: 0;
      background: none;

    This will give you a nice font resizer right in the breadcrumbs, that does not affect the responsiveness of the theme. The only downside is that the functions.php file had to be modified and will be overwritten if the theme is updated. Perhaps the author will add this at a later date?
