Adding a "Follow Blog" button to sidebar

    As supplied the sidebar is very plain, many of my users ask how they can follow my blog, even though the “subscribe” meta tag is in plain sight.

    Is there an attractive “Follow Blog” button option available? Or perhaps a sidebar plugin that allows me to create my own visual buttons and place them in the sidebar?

    Another sidebar option I’d like to to be able to display clickable images to take visitors to a register form, or perhaps even to another site.

    Any suggestions?
