Adding a filter code to Convention Theme's functions.ph file giving this error

  • Adding a filter code to Convention Theme’s functions.ph file giving this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in /home/uttarpgu/public_html/newbookrack.com/wp-content/themes/convention/functions.php on line 70

I forgot to backup my original functions.php template:

So any of the two solutions can be good:

I revert the template to its original state

    OR

    Have this error corrected.

    Waiting for your Help. Thanks

Adding a filter code to Convention Theme’s functions.ph

Using FTP or whatever file management tools your host has provided you with and upload a fresh copy of that functions.php file from that theme.

Also you may want to consider using a child theme instead of editing that theme directly. It’s easy and will protect your changes from any theme updates.
