 * Hi there,
 * I would love to be able to add a filter to this page that’s relevant to the build
   within the short code.
 * Basically all the products I have are within categories that relate to “product
   type” i.e. badges, pens etc. You can see examples of these within the left hand
   menu widget but these are for EVERY product on the site.
 * The page you are looking at displays products with the tag “SAINT” but navigating
   this build is not very easy or user friendly.
 * Is there a filter I can add in here?
 * I have tried product tables in the past but they seem to either be not as mobile
   friendly or buggy when used on different phones.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fadding-a-filter-3%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hey there, [@mmk175](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mmk175/)! Thanks for
   contacting us. I’m happy to help you.
 * As I understand you want to add filter options to the category pages, correct?
 * You can achieve this by using a plugin.
 * You can search for “woocommerce product filter”, or something similar, on the
   Plugins > Add New section of your dashboard or on a search engine like Google,
   for example.
 * Please note that we do not provide support for third-party plugins, so it is
   good to check the plugin thoroughly to see if it is reliable. You can find more
   about this in this **[guide](https://wordpress.com/support/plugins/find-and-choose-plugins/)**.
 * I hope this was clarifying. If you face any issues or have any questions, please
   let us know so we can assist you further.
 * Have a wonderful day!

 * Hi [@carolm29](https://wordpress.org/support/users/carolm29/)
 * _As I understand you want to add filter options to the category pages, correct?_
 * No not exactly but I will try your plugin suggestion.
 * It’s a filter based on the products I have built on the page. Each page might
   be told, show products with X tag so I would want to filter via the categories
   that the tag is used in, or vice versa.

 * Hi there [@mmk175](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mmk175/) 👋
 * Thank you for reaching back, clarifying things further.
 * > It’s a filter based on the products I have built on the page. Each page might

 * Based on what you are describing here, the flexibility needed and copious tags
   that can be found in the site’s sidebar, and the goal to provide a mobile-friendly
   interface, I’d recommend approaching this from a different angle.
 * Feel free to check out a solution for implementing awesome **search functionality**,
   and results surfacing, at your store.
 * **Jetpack Search** is one such solution. [Further details about it can be found linked here](https://jetpack.com/upgrade/search/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=19699870249&utm_content=648444270946&utm_term=jetpack%20search&utm_term=jetpack%20search&utm_campaign=google_jetpack_search_BRAND_Europe&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_acc=6173802314&hsa_cam=19699870249&hsa_grp=149738548041&hsa_ad=648444270946&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=kwd-100009902254&hsa_kw=jetpack%20search&hsa_mt=e&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAqNSsBhAvEiwAn_tmxYSWZmf-UwgodIJbXrWoF0o9XvwPd0_vIVXGhPuGf3uVgmRyGuoezRoCYFIQAvD_BwE).
 * I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions,
   let us know.
 * We’re happy to help.
