Adding a blog page to Zerif and leaving the home page intact

    In order to get a BLOG page on the menu, I created a PAGE and called it BLOG.

    I went to SETTINGS > READING and set the front page to A STATIC PAGE with the the FRONT PAGE as HOME (expecting that Zerif’s front page setup would stay intact).

    I set the POSTS PAGE to BLOG, expecting the blog posts to show up there.

    This successfully created a BLOG page with posts as I wanted. But it obliterated the home page, which now shows as a blank page with the title HOME and {edit}.

    How do I get Zerif’s beautiful home page back?
