# Adding a blocking exception

 * Quick question,
 * I have an automated workflow that posts to my WordPress site. This automated 
   workflow doesn’t allow me to add a “User-Agent”, and WordFence keeps blocking
   this due to
 * `POST received with blank user-agent and referer`
 * Is there a way I can add the user that is making the POST to an exception or 
   exclude list? I am not using the premium subscription.

 * You will need to disable the option **_Block IPs who send POST requests with 
   blank User-Agent and Referer_**.
 * This is found in the **_Additional Options_** subsection of the **_Brute Force
   Protection_** section on the **_All Options_** page.
 * Remember to press the **_SAVE CHANGES_** button after disabling that option.

 * no, this is why i was asking otherwise it would have been easy to whitelist the
   IP

 * In this instance, due to the IP address being dynamic, you would have to disable
   that option.

 * Thank you for the update.
 * As it is an additional option then you can safely disable it. The firewall rules
   and brute force login attack prevention rules will still protect your website.
