[resolved] Add/Edit Existing Key to User (2 posts)

I'm unsure if this is just a problem on my end, but is there a way to add or edit an existing key to a user that currently does not have the meta data set?

For instance, I have a key/value pair set for a single user through update_user_meta() by a plugin. However, I want to set the same key for another user with a different value. But if I click "Edit Meta," the key does not appear in the drop-down menu. If I attempt "Add Meta," it will state that the key already exists.

Would this be a possible feature? Or is there an alternative?

    Hi,

In User Meta Manager settings you can override the duplicate meta key check, which should allow you to add the meta key to your other users.
