 * I am new here so please bear with me. I am adding new pages to WP in Catalyst,
I have seen other sites where each page has an added like mini url after the
main. In other words my website is ftworthenergy.com I have a number of sales
people and I would like to make each of their pages a little different so I need
to do this ftworthenergy.com/charles/customer and then ftworthenergy.com/charles/
consultant I know this is going to be simple but I have been searching through
the cheat sheat for a few days and I just can’t find it. Thanks folks for helping
an old man who is trying to lean something new.

 * You can set this up by editing your permalinks. Create a category for each author,
and make sure their posts get added to that category.

 * Hey Kjodle, thanks for the reply. The pages are not posts but static pages, does
that make a difference? What I done was click the circle on post name and /%postname%/
came up on the line just below that. Will that work? I don’t understand the category,
author and so on. I probably should not even be asking for help in here because
I really am a beginner but at 68 years old I am excited about doing new things
and this web site creation has given me something to do.
    Thanks Again

 * Is there a specific reason you are using pages instead of posts? This is easier
   with posts.
 * If you must use pages, there are plugins that will allow you to use categories
   with posts.

 * Yes that will work. This will allow you to create pretty urls and you can now
create a page called charles and then the appropriate subpages.
 * When thinking about pages vs posts, just keep in mind that pages are for static
content, so about, services, contact, etc… pages that will change, but possibly
   only seldomnly.
 * Posts on the other hand are for content that gets added a lot, like news, press
   releases and a blog obviously.
 * So if you’re interested in creating pages to discuss your various sales people,
   that’s fine, pages are good.

 * Thank you Christine, yes I am using pages because this is not a blog but are
sales landing pages and the content will almost never change.
 * And thank you Kjodle, you led me to the right place. I had to do a lot of research
after I got there to figure it all out but I prefer that anyway. If one is just
   given a fish, etc, etc..
