Support » Installing WordPress » Add word press to existing website

  • Hi,

I currently have a custom build e-commerce website. I want to add a blog-section to the website, which will be managed by word press. Is it possible to have only a certain section of my webshop controlled by the word press CMS (only the blog)?

    Thanks!

  • When I first installed WordPress I added it to a custom site by creating a subdomain and installing WordPress in the subdomain’s folder. The main site and the subdomain can have links to each other and similar themes so that users get the impression of a single site.

    Hi,

You can create a subdirectory or a folder named blog at the root folder of your website. It will look something like this

    youwebsite.com/blog

Now you can go on and install wordpress into that particular folder and all the following link “youwebsite.com/blog” as a blog page to your website.

Let me know if it makes sense to you.
