Hi Fredrik I am afraid it’s not an option (yet)
I will add this to the list of things to introduce in future versions
thanks
Just one question:
how would you like to have this feature to work?
since you say some countries count week numbers differently, how should the option work? I’m not aware of all the possibilities here. Should it count the days in the first week of the year? or the first occurrence of a particular day of the week?
I bet you are from Scandinavia 🙂 I remember people use to count weeks there
Hi!
(Important: Norwegian weeks start with Monday, not Sunday.)
Week numbers in Norway at least, are numbered so that week # 1 is the first week of the year that has minimum 4 days.
This necasserily means that the 4th of January is ALWAYS in week # 1 in Norway (and Monday is the first day of any week). This information should make the week-feature not so hard to implement.
Thank you for your interest in this feature 🙂
For information: This is a Norwegian calendar:

Have a nice day! Looking forward to the week-feature showing up in the monthly grid view some time in the future.
Regards
Fredrik
Hi Fredrik
in a new version I’m adding a CSS class to calendar grid rows that mark the week number (e.g. week-32
, week-33
and so on). Then with PHP you also have the possibility to create a date mentioning the week number:
W = ISO-8601 week number of year, weeks starting on Monday (added in PHP 4.1.0)
ref: http://php.net/manual/en/function.date.php
which is what I’m using too
but probably ISO-8601 count is not what people use in Norway, I’m not sure how that works (I think assumes the first monday of the year as week #1, not the first week that has a min. 4 days, meaning week #1 could start on a wednesday – and yet assuming one places sunday at the end of the week and not the beginning as some calendars do, which further complicates the matter).
The new plugin I’m working at has the possibility to be extended, so maybe there’s room to have some customization to address regional cases.
This was implemented into a CSS class as you can see here: http://screencast.com/t/ycRIrjkzN
This will allow anyone that needs this to be able to take advantage of it using whatever method they need it for such as CSS, JavaScript, etc.
