• Hi,

this is a very helpful plugin. I recently installed it.

I only see the admins as users in the default usergroups. I created a new usergroup and added two users (not admins). The usergroup count of this new usergroup is displaying the right number of users but does only show the admins again but not the new added users. When I change their wp role to admin, these two specific users are also displayed as potential users for any user group. When I set their wp roles back to their actual role, they are not showing up again.

I know that this issue was already discussed and I think found a quite similar issue here https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-edit-flow-unable-to-add-users-to-usergroups that can resolve my issue but I am not sure where to put that code.

    Kind regards
    René

What are the roles of the two users you added to the usergroup?

    Hi cojennin,
we assigned the subscribers role now although we modified this user type to the “contributor” role because I am not able to asssign the author and editor wordpress user role (at least in the backend user menu; however I could assign supplemental roles such as author to give them).

To understand the context: We are having two user profiles for the persons who want to register, that are not default wordpress user types. We are using buddypress (a social network plugin https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress/).

These two people I’m talking about should and are now able to create and edit pages and posts (with that modifications we made) but I cannot assign edit flow user groups to them.

Another info: This two persons can now write and edit posts and pages but cannot see the edit flow user/usergroup field for autonotifcation.

Might that be an hint for the problem?

Unfortunately I am not very familiar with BuddyPress.

By default, only a user with the “Administrator” role can add users and remove users from an Edit Flow User Group (in the Edit Flow settings screen). By default, user’s with level_0 do not appear in the list. If you’d also like user’s with level_0 to appear, you can install https://gist.github.com/cojennin/f6f181287fd48beb3df91bdaf4a22288 as a plugin.

By default only a user with the “Administrator”, “Editor” or “Author” role can add and remove Edit Flow User Groups and User’s in the “Notifications” section of a WordPress post. If you’d also like user’s with the “Contributor” role to add and remove Edit Flow User Groups and User’s, you can install https://gist.github.com/cojennin/d4c49f20bcc4365edd8de8c050f8e4f7 as a plugin.

    Does that help?

Thanks cojennin. The first plugin helped me. All users are displayed and selectable.

    Thanks
    René
