Add to Cart code addition

    I have a simple question that I can’t find a simple answer for – I want to add a button instead of the ADD TO CART button (to update the customer database with the products ordered), then I need to initiate the ADD TO CART from that program. What would be the best (easiest) way to accomplish this?
