    Hi there

Great plugin, really good in all respects. The one thing that the client doesn’t like is that when a user clicks the ‘add to calendar’ link and selects the outlook option, a new internet calendar is created alongside the default outlook calendar.

I understand that this is pretty much what a webcal link does, but is there any way of modifying it so that the calendar entry is added to the default calendar?

    thanks

  • I don’t work for Time.ly, but as far as I’m aware, this is a limitation in Outlook.

Thanks cefiar – I agree, it’s ‘an outlook thing’. It’s annoying though, as it’s something the non-tech end user and/or client will expect us to be able to control, somehow!

I didn’t know if there was a way of perhaps modifying the link such that it targets the default calendar. Hey ho, I don’t think it’ll get used much anyhow.

Same happens with Google Calendar FWIW, and I’ve had similar discussions with people complaining it’s not in “their” calendar.

Hi, i’m sorry but this is not possible, we’ve been asked a lot about this but never found a viable way of fixing it

    Honest, reasonable answer.
