Support » Themes and Templates » add the_time()

  • Hi All,

    I hope someone can help me out here. <– Please see this link and search for the
    ” .:: Latest news posts ::.. “.

    Now the latest amount of posts are displayed, but i want to add the_time() within it.
    <?php the_time(‘l, F jS, Y, H:i:s’) ?> ???

    But how can i fix this so the “the_time()” will be displayed above the categorie and URL for each newspost.

    Note: I am using the arras theme for what its worth to resolve this issue.

    Thanks in advance,

    You seem to have resolved this, yes?

    No 🙁 unfortunately, i dont 🙁

    What you see is the slide-show function.
    That one works.

    Now i want the same in the .:: latest news posts::. area.
    Where the latest approx 30 news post will be shown.

    Where you see the first line in the CAT “XHTML” with under the categorie ” no comment” and the title “TEST” i want exactly the same thing as what i did in the slide-show.
    Somewhere above the cat and comment for each single post.

    But how 🙁 ?

    I looked at the individual posts in the Latest News and saw that they had a time stamp. Do you want to add the time stamp to the list of posts? (Can’t seem to reach your site atm) Does Latest News use a custom category template?

    Site atm ? 🙂

    I just need the timestamp of the post. Month date Year (as in de slide show) into the front page latest news. This must be set for each single post. Just above the category it is post into. Just a notice when it was post besides the category, amount of comments and the Title of the post.

    It uses the one that comes with the arras theme. No further changes besides the css.

    I hope you can help me out.

    atm = at the moment. Though I can reach it again now.

    Does the front page template use get_posts to grab that list of recent posts?

    I see to kind of get_posts

    // if you are a WP plugin freak you can use 'arras_news_query' filter to override the query
    wp_reset_query(); query_posts(apply_filters('arras_news_query', $news_query));
    arras_get_posts('index') ?>
    <?php if(function_exists('wp_pagenavi')) wp_pagenavi(); else { ?>
    	<div class="navigation clearfix">
    		<div class="floatleft"><?php next_posts_link( __('Older Entries', 'arras') ) ?></div>
    		<div class="floatright"><?php previous_posts_link( __('Newer Entries', 'arras') ) ?></div>

    <!-- Featured Articles #2 -->			<h5 class="mediumtitlebar">.:: Latest news posts ::.</h5>
    <?php if (!$paged) : if ( ($featured2_cat = arras_get_option('featured_cat2') ) !== '' && $featured2_cat != '-1' ) : ?>
    	if ($featured2_cat == '-5') 	$query2 = array('post__in' => get_option('sticky_posts'), 'showposts' => arras_get_option('featured2_count') );
    	elseif ($featured2_cat == '0') 	$query2 = 'showposts=' . arras_get_option('featured2_count');
    	else							$query2 = 'showposts=' . arras_get_option('featured2_count') . '&cat=' . $featured2_cat;
    	$q2 = new WP_Query( apply_filters('arras_featured2_query', $query2) );
    	arras_get_posts('featured2', $q2);
    <?php endif; endif; ?>

    I am learning php by trial and error 😉

    Hope this will answer your question.

    Anything you need, just tell me.

    Looks like the relevant code is in the arras_get_posts function which (I’m guessing) will be in functions.php.

    Found it 🙂 !!

    It works :)!

    Thanks for telling the clue! 😀
