Add text to top of checkout and shopping cart pages

Hello, I am using your shopping cart and really like it, but I have limited knowledge on editing code. I would just like to know how to add some text to the top of my checkout and shopping cart pages. When adding to the “check out” page, it does not appear. Can I please have some instruction on how to add some text under the title of the page, but before the login, registration etc. There are so many files in the “edit plugin” area, and I could not figure out which one I can edit to add text elements to the individual pages.

I am using the default template, and running the newest version of both wordpress and the cart. Any help on the file of where to change the button color from Pink would also be appreciated. Thank you so much, your support in earlier questions has been very, very helpful.
