    Hello,
At this moment it seems not to be possible to add languages where the languages code must be hold more than 2 ISO-code letters. By example it’s not possible to add 2 or more different English langugaes, such as English US and English UK. The language code must be different such en_US and en_UK. Yes, in fact the Language and code need to be the same or maybe to code en-US and en-UK. This is the same problem for different languages as French, Duch etc. Now, the code can only hold 2 letters, otherwise I receive the error message: The language code contains invalid characters
Please, add support to add more such languages. These languages are NOT the same!
These are languages from other contries or even other regions.
Yes, even the free version of Polylang give this support. So, Falang will folow, isn’t it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

you can 4 or 5 sef code without problem with Falang too.
i try on my system with en_us and en_gb.

The default sef set when you add a new language is only 2 letters but you can change it.

regenerate permaling after the change of the language sef , just to be sure and don’t have 404.

The message on the top of the language page is not right .
“Don’t change slug and language code, it’s not yet supported!”

In the fact only the Language Locale can’t be changed but you can put the slug like you want en_us, en_gb, fr_ca…

I will fix this message problem in the next version.

    Hi,
Ok, I have solved that issue on an easy way.
For English (en_GB) I have entered as code “gb” (or “uk” should also work).
For Dutch of Flemish (nl_BE) the code “vl” and for Walloon (fr_BE) the code “wa”. Etc…
Sorry for this misunderstanding. I thought or understood that the code should always be a fixed explicit code. But that is apparently up to choose.
Thanks for your fast and fantastic support.

    Hi,

You can do like that too but the classic way is to put fr_fr, fr_be … when you don’t use just fr for french

    Best regards,
    Stéphane
