How to add Add Subtile or Captions to video on this plugin?
I’m interested in this as well. I’d like the captions to show up on a video gallery underneath each video. Is there something we need to add to the shortcode to make this happen?
I think you’re looking for different things.
@phatnlq, I’m planning to enable the <track> HTML5 element for captions/subtitles overlaid on a video player in version 4.3 of the plugin. You can follow development progress on Github at https://github.com/kylegilman/video-embed-thumbnail-generator/issues/22
@ncdesignz There is no option to put text below a video thumbnail in a gallery. The plgin is only set up to show captions beneath the pop-up video player in a gallery.

hmm, i’m still trying to figure out where to put the vtt file?
kyle, you rock.
Upload the vtt file using the WordPress uploader to add it to the media library like you would with any file. Then select the video attachment you want to subtitle and click on the “Add track” button under “Subtitles & Captions”
That will add several fields including one that allows you to select the vtt file from the media library or you can manually enter the URL.
Set the track type and fill in the language code and label fields to customize the way the player displays the text track options. You can add several tracks if you need to.
