There is option of free shipping for price above certain limit but is there any idea to provide shipping option for the purchase above 50$ and no shipping option for the purchase below 50$. Is there a way to configure or add such option in shipping?

You mean a shipping option other than free shipping?

You can do this with custom code, or a plugin like Conditional Shipping and Payments: http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-conditional-shipping-and-payments/
