Add RSS feeds as blog items.?

    Hi,
    I just installed WordPress so this is my first attempt.
    I need to make a site (for news) that imports rss feeds from other sites and display them on my site. Including an image from the rss items.
    I want a menu displaying the news categories, horizontally across the top part of the page.

    Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.
